Organizing the preparation of a good lecture
Do you have the pluck to leave it all to chance?
You are scheduled to give a talk in two weeks. Do you sit back and wait for inspiration to hit you, or are you already in the process of scouting out the premises where the presentation will be held? The ways we prepare are very different. However, there are a number of tools that can get you safely through the preparatory stage and ensure that your presentation will be exciting as well as informative, and sell your message to boot.

Much of what determines, whether your speech will be a success, has nothing to do with talent and flair, but rather good preparation. It can prove equally important to focus on the practical details, like getting the contents put together well, and get a grip on the communicative aspects. Then, after the practical stuff is in order, you can focus on the most important thing: How do you COMMUNICATE your message optimally!

Per Wium provides a range of effective advice for the preparation of good lectures. Good preparation means less stress, less anxiety, better communication and a greater chance that you will have planted your message in the minds of your audience members, so they will remember your speech and your points long afterwards.
